An English speaking Executive Coach in the French business environment.
Performance and transition coaching, personnal support for specific situations.
I am a former senior executive from a CAC40 firm, doing professional coaching
for managers both in English and French.
Certified by HEC (Paris), and MBTI qualified (OPP London)
Consulting for global approach of learning organisations, pedagogical engineering, academic partnerships, quality management.
An
experienced professional in the field of Corporate Universities and leadership
development programmes.
I'm an expert in management with national and international experience at both field and corporate level with EDF (Electricité de France), the French Utility Company, worldwide leader in the Nuclear Industry.
I became Education Director of the new EDF Corporate University with the task
of creating this University from scratch. I have built up knowledge and experience
and created my executive expertise using my executive education knowledge,
but without losing my client focus - client in terms of company “talent”,
the manager and the senior executive.
I created a leadership development programme and obtained CLIP international
accreditation for my university.
I am also a visiting lecturer in a French University as well as being a frequent
member of accreditation teams for international business schools.
My expertise is a combination of two aspects: one being my “educational”
approach, based on academic knowledge, the other being my experience as a
manager and senior executive.
I can act as a consultant or as a transition manager.
My preferred topics are strategic positioning of company learning organisations, related business plan, strategic alignment with HR talent development policies, global governance, managerial organisation an outsourcing strategies including partnership election.
I can also provide support for putting together an executive coaching policy,
in programme design, internal case studies, and for your internal and external
marketing and communication organisation.
Furthermore, I can assist you in quality assurance, programme evaluation and
satisfaction measurement, and accreditation processes.

I
do one- to-one coaching focussing on professional (1) issues and aiming to
unlock my client’s hidden potential and improve their performance.
To do so, I draw from my own business experience (2) and from my executive
coaching one full year course in HEC.
My international experience in operational people management and my current
responsibility as a cross-cultural affiliate professor, have lead me to make
this professional service available to clients of all nationalities, working
both in English and in French.
(1)
e.g. taking over a new job, improving relationships with direct reports and
bosses, taking on board a new kind of activity. It can also be within the
actual field of activity, namely being alongside a manager in difficult situations
such as industrial conflicts, challenging business negotiations or mergers
and take over acquisitions.
(2 An operational and corporate experience covering the fields of marketing
& sales, customer services, information technology, strategy, senior executive
and talents, executive education.
My fees are those of national (Paris area) or international executive coaching which can be found on any related website.
I tend mainly to align my fees on my client’s personal salary and cost. In cases where clients are involved in Charity work on a voluntary basis, I may consider waiving my fee. I may do it for free too.
All
other costs, such as travel and accommodation expenses, are covered by the
client’s organisation.
50%
of the fees invoice on signing the agreement ; the remaining 50% is due
on completion of the coaching.
I comply with the ethical code of practice (code de déontologie professionnelle) issued by the French Society of Coaching. (Download here)
In addition,
During a coaching session, if I detect the need for therapy, I discuss the matter with my client and can suggest a professional therapist contact.
My psychological approach is exclusive; I do not use methods or theory whose inspiration is either religious or esoteric.
In this respect I defend of Modernity which represents a break with the theories of Antiquity and the Middle Ages by focussing on the person and their ability to think and to feel individually, as opposed to being only a subject of a human community, based on the feeling of “membership”.
Here are some of the books that are of professional inspiration for me:
"Le métier de coach" de François Délivré,
fondateur de l'Académie du Coaching.
"Coaché" de Michel Giffard, directeur de la formation HEC.
"Coaching for Performance: Growing Human Potential and Purpose: The Principles
and Practice of Coaching and Leadership" by Sir John Whitmore, the key
to the anglo-saxon approach.
"Games people play The Psychology of Human Relationships " by Eric
Berne, the basis of Transactional Analysis.
"From Coach to Awakener" by Robert B. Dilts, a holistic approach
of all professional projects.
"Pragmatics of Human Communication: A Study of Interactional Patterns,
Pathologies, and Paradoxes " by Paul Wastlawick, leader of the constructivism
school (Palo Alto)
"Psychological Types at Work: An MBTI Perspective" by Rowan Bayne
